Happy Re-Birthday!

Happy birthday!! In fact happy rebirth day to my baby babies!! Today marks my first year in remission! Hooo-ray!! Am feeling extremely glad and utterly contented for the fact that I had been given a new lease on life, turning over a new leaf and starting afresh! Not many cancer patients are as fortunate as I am and I’m here to wish them a smooth journey to recovery. For those cancer survivor, stay cool, happy and healthy at all times!!

Thank you papa!

Thank you papa!

The past one year has been truly amazing, living life like a “superstar”. After being a cancer survivor, people tend to view and treat you differently. They will be more respective, more attentive towards you and wearing a cap tends to fetch a lot of awkward stances and questions. For those whom I don’t really know, I’ll just simply reply “medical” as a reason, and that will stop any further inquiries.

“Why am I still wearing a cap and how long is my hair now?” is a common question that I receive from friends and people around me. So, I’m here to share with you the chronology of the growth of my so called “babies”.

Due to the extremely strong dose of chemo that eventually knock my blood counts down to nil, it took quite a long while for the babies to grow back. This is basically the reason why I’m still wearing a cap!

So “what am I doing?” is the second most commonly asked question.

Aside from the routine every three monthly MRI, I am, in short – “unemployed”. This is a very effective way to stay away from those annoying credit card sales people and those insurance teleconference sales. However, In actual fact, I’m helping out here and there, family business, F8 Camera Store and wherever that needs me. I myself is currently handling a website, selling handmade unique and rustic lightings at gilamp.com and building a Facebook page. I hereby invite all of you out there to just click a “like” on my Facebook page gi.lamp.  It wouldn’t be tedious and will not take you longer than a minute. Thank you in advance!! Imagine an actuarial science major mending a website? One word – disastrous! It took me such a long time to just pick up some basics on photoshop and even longer to learn up Adobe Illustrator, everything is so foreign and make no sense to me. Any tips or suggestions for improvements of my website are warmly welcomed! At the mean time, I’m also part-time continuing my Japanese language course. Furthermore, in the very near future, I will be able to assist you in investments for potentially higher returns. Do contact me if you are interested in investing if you have extra cash through facebook or write in to my email for further details.

So previously, why did I mention about the road to stardom? I had been invited to give a sharing session to the wonderful team of Great Eastern agents – the Synergy & Unity team, invited to be an audience for an exclusive event  the “Woman of Worth”, invited for a vlog session, video coming soon and lately to be a model for NCSM (National Cancer Society Malaysia), coming soon.

As the saying goes, “the greatest glory is not in never falling, but rising every time when we fall.
